New Music (categorized)
These are tunes and songs that have not yet been added to the Fumblin' Fingers performance repertoire, but that we expect to.
This page is sorted into categories. There is also a version where all the songs are listed
alphabetically (see the link below).
Each song listed has it's own web page, where you can find some descriptive information,
a .pdf file of the song as played by the Fumbling Fingers, (occasionally) a .midi file which
is representative of the song as played by the Fumbling Fingers, and variants,
with accompanying .pdf and .midi files. Status of each page is (BVALS_b## = Background:varABCs:ABCs:Lilypond:Snippet:Book)
Fumblin' Fingers Standards
Standards are those songs which the Fumblin' Fingers have come to rely on - ones that we can do at the drop of a hat. If they have reached this level, they should probably be moved into a tunebook...
Tunes
Tunes are generally pairs or more of 8-measure fiddle music - no lyrics. They are (generally) Public Domain, as they are Folk Music.
Originals
Originals are songs or tunes written by one of the members of the band.
Arrangements
Arrangements are our versions of full songs. Some of these have copyrights, so pay attention!
Medleys
Medleys are our versions of songs or tunes arranged by us, for us, in a medley.
Sets
Sets are just that; sets - generally of fiddle tunes.
Singalongs
Singalongs are songs with words that people recognize and can sing along with. Many of these are PD, some are not.
Lyrics
Lyrics-only songs... these really should go to the Singalong section...
Others
Can't think of how, but anything that doesn't fall into the above categories.
